Cheong Pui Kuong & Joanna

Misery was brought to many people when the stock markets around the world crashed in 1987. Cheong Pui Kuong who worked as fireman and his wife Joanna worked as nurse in Macau back then lost all of their savings. The painful experience has taught them a huge lesson that the importance of stability and security of living. The couple got to know and joined Amway through their cousin. The extra income earned through Amway business was twice as much the total amount of income of the couple. They anticipated the business potential, with his wife's support, Cheong Pui Kuong quitted his occupation as fireman in order to contribute all his energy to develop Amway business only a year and a half after joining Amway.

Cheong Pui Kuong was not good at academic, whereas his sisters were excellent in many areas. He nevertheless had always wanted to make his parents proud. Unfortunately, with the stock market disaster, not only his savings vanished, but also the chance to impress his parents. At the same time, Amway offered a chance for him to achieve his goal. "The work pattern for a fireman is passive with limited career potential and the business I set up before was unsuccessful due to lack of business experience. With Amway business, on the other hand, it did not cost me much to start and run. I also got to learn the skills shared by experienced leaders. More importantly, my achievement was recognized by my family including my father, even my children now take part together as a family business."

Cheong Pui Kuong believes never give up easily with any dreams. "We shall gather each team member and assist them to success. The present effort paves the way for their future."
